Whew! Damn, Tuesday was a near killer! Gripping news event after gripping news event all day long- it was hard to keep up!
In case you missed it, Obama nominated a Puerto Rican Woman to the Supreme Court, California upheld the ban on gay marriage, which has delighted and infuriated a hell of a lot of people around the country.
Locally, Mayor Nickels’ biggest fan on the City Council confirmed what was rumored last week- that she herself is running for Mayor, and apparently thinks Greg is a moron. It wasn’t even noon before the air of the election took on a nasty, Divorce Court quality, with Drago and Nickels bickering back and forth all morning, throwing petty accusations and empty rhetoric none of us gives a shit about. The election now officially sucks.
With a start to the week like that, it promises to be a doozy. Enjoy your daily news break.
