From the Seattle PI:
Seattle police have taken several steps to provide avenues for youth to safely report information that can solve crimes and make people safer. In April 2008, Seattle was the third city to launch a text-a-tip program, behind Boston and Cincinnati.
When someone texts a tip to Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound, he can do so anonymously because the number from where the call came from is scrubbed, as police say.
